A steeply-terraced single vineyard situated in Germany’s Mosel, the Urzinger Wurzgarten, or “Spice garden of Urzing” is a wine of stunning complexity and incredible value. With aromas of peach, ginger, nectarine, and honey alongside that tell-tale hint of petrol, this wine has all the classic characteristics of quality German winemaking. The mouthfeel of the Karl Erbes Riesling is full-bodied and slightly sweet (18gr/ltr) with flavors of stone fruit, honeycomb, star anise, and a slight gingery spiciness, all balanced by a soaring acidity; an absolute must for any German Riesling enthusiast.
