Tracing its origins back to the 16th Century, Château Respide-Medeville is located in the heart of Graves, a subregion of Bordeaux named for its well-drained gravelly soils that yield wonderfully mineral clarets. The estate’s 2011 Graves Rouge is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot that is aged in a mixture of new and used oak barrels for a period of 12 months, resulting in a classically styled French Bordeaux wine that is now in its prime drinking window.

Medium-bodied and elegant, this red shows complex flavors of blackberry preserves, pencil lead, and oak spice that can add dimension to a wide variety of savory dishes without overwhelming the palate.
