Thrilling nervous tension abounds in this vibrant, juicy German Riesling full of pink grapefruit, lime and honeydew flavors. The Wagner-Stempel Weingut Riesling is a forward, lip-smacking wine yet taut and bracing in acidity. The finish is long and intensely steely. Lovely already but should improve through 2021
The Wagner family has been involved in wine production now for nine generations, and since the early Nineties, Daniel Wagner is responsible for the vineyards and the cellar. Since then, he has concentrated on classical grape varieties such as Silvaner, Pinot Blanc and more especially Riesling, converting to organic production methods.
