Ceretto Barolo

For three generations members of the Ceretto family have transformed the fruit of Piedmont’s vineyards into wines that speak of the region’s identity. Today the Cerretos have become one of the largest landholders in Piedmont, with more than 400 acres of estate vineyards including large swaths of the prestigious DOCG areas of Barolo and Barbaresco. The family name is now synonymous with estate-grown, carefully produced wines that express true varietal character with purity and elegance.

Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes that were sourced from an outstanding harvest year, Ceretto’s 2013 Barolo was aged for 30 months in both large and small barrels to round and soften the tannins in the wine. In the glass, the wine is light garnet in color with classic Barolo aromas of rose petal, tart cherry, and white truffle. Ceretto's Barolo is extraordinarily approachable now, but it will continue to reward the patient wine drinker as it evolves over the course of several years.
