Located at the southeastern end of the Rioja region of central Spain, Viña Herminia is a project from the owners of Emilio Lustau, an historic sherry producer. In Rioja, they offer a full range of wines sourced from vineyards on the slopes of Monte Yerga and Monte Argudo, up to an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. Together with the relatively hot climate of the Rioja Baja, this ensures rich, generous wines with enormous international appeal.

This particular Spanish Tempranillo bottling is classified as a Reserva, and it sees 18 months in a mixture of new and neutral American oak barrels and an additional 18 months in bottle prior to release. It is 85% Tempranillo, with 10% Garnacha and 5% Graciano rounding out the blend.
