About DAOU Vineyards

DAOU sits at 2,200 feet elevation on Daou Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. Brothers Georges and Daniel Daou built their winery from scratch after careers in tech — they brought an engineer's precision to winemaking, and it shows. The limestone-heavy soils and dramatic day-to-night temperature swings give their wines real structure and concentration, especially the Cabernets.

Their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon is a standout in Paso Robles — dark fruit, firm tannins, and a long finish that holds up well over time. The Pessimist Red Blend is more approachable and a great everyday pour. For white wine drinkers, the Chardonnay is clean and balanced without being overly oaky.
