A new label introduced by Caymus Vineyards with the 2021 vintage, this wine is Caymus' entry-level California-appellation Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a lighter, fruity Cabernet that pairs wonderfully with a meal. It’s also bold enough to sit on the deck and sip. It has a lovely bouquet and fruit-forward fullness on the palate with just enough tannins to provide nice structure. This wine is a great value for the price point. It boasts a supple, dark, and rich flavor profile, bearing the signature hallmarks of Caymus. The Caymus California Cabernet is sourced from sites throughout California, which feature climatic conditions, soils, and topography that are ideally suited for the Cabernet varietal. This project stems from excitement over California’s diverse vineyard land, often in lesser-known areas outside of Napa, with the potential to produce exceptional Cabernet.
