Bergstrom Winery is a family estate in the Chehalem Mountains of Oregon's Willamette Valley, and the Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is one of their most expressive wines. The Dundee Hills sub-appellation sits on Jory soil — ancient, iron-rich volcanic material that gives the wines a distinctive mineral edge. Bergstrom farms the estate biodynamically and follows a Burgundian approach in the cellar: hand-harvested fruit, whole-cluster fermentation, minimal intervention, and time in French oak. The result is Pinot Noir that genuinely reflects where it came from.
The 2023 vintage opens with bright red fruit — Bing cherry, raspberry, a little dried rose — and develops layers of earth, cocoa, and spice on the palate. The tannins are fine and silky. It's complex now and will continue to develop for years.
Personalize This Bottle
We offer custom labels and engraving on Bergstrom bottles. This is one of those wines where the gift does the talking — add a name, date, or personal note and you've got something genuinely memorable. Great for wine collectors, Burgundy lovers, or anyone who knows their Oregon Pinot. Serve around 60°F with salmon, duck, mushroom risotto, or earthy aged cheese.
